  • Josh: “[Shiro taking charge of the Atlas] was one of my favorite Shiro moments in the show. Because he’s been through so much, through the entire course of the series…and also this season, finding out Adam is gone and all that. Granted he did leave with the knowledge that he might never see him again, but that’s still gotta hurt.”
  • “And, when the situation presents itself, like I was always kinda–a little worried about Shiro, and once he was no longer gonna be a paladin, what he was gonna do–because that in my opinion really gave his life meaning, and it gave him something to help work through a lot of his PTSD. It gave him something else to focus on, so that he wouldn’t be tormented by a lot of his demons.”
  • “And when he’s standing there, and he’s given that realization–I mean, this is what it said in the stage directions. I can’t remember 100% exactly what it said, but it described the moment. It described the moment when he’s on the bridge, basically everything is just melting down around him, just confusion and chaos everywhere.”
  • But at that moment, he realizes everyone is looking at him, everyone is waiting for him to step up and take command, everyone is waiting for him to lead. And he realizes This is what I’m here to do, and he just does it. And it’s such a beautiful moment for him, for humanity in this show, but it was great. It was one of my favorite moments of the season.” (source)
