voltron is a robot show and the reboot of a beloved 80s franchise where the main character is canonically punched in the face by the villain with a rock and falls off a cliff in one of the most hilarious moments of animated tv history and another main character is a gremlin in a jester’s outfit that talks like daffy duck on helium. it’s a robot show. it’s never going to cater to everyone’s specified interests. it’s never going to do everything perfectly. if you guys want to be television critics, go for it, i guess, but some of us are just here to enjoy the series because there are bigger battles to fight in life than how a cartoon robot show portrayed the costs of war. that’s not how i want to spend my energy and that doesn’t make me a lesser fan. you don’t have to critique and tear apart the things you love to prove your love is correct. that’s never how it’s worked.
